If you were to twist my arm and ask me to name
the person I consider the best contemporary actor, Tom Hanks
would be one name on the tip of my tongue alongside Jodie
Foster, Brad Pitt and Robert De Niro... Tom Hanks list of
achievements include some great classics like Big, Forrest
Gump and my personal favourite Hanks film, Saving Private
Ryan... But what about the excellent Splash and the brilliant
Sleepless In Seatle? In my opinion, they are classics too.
And I have to mention Turner And Hooch, an absolute riot of
a film, and Burbs, a bizarre film, and The Green Mile, a seriously
poignant film, and Castaway, a truly excellent film and a
film that pretty much relies on Tom Hanks incredible talent
to carry it through... And Philadelphia, where he stretches
audience emotions beyond tears...
I could go on and on and on discussing the immense
acting talent that is Tom Hanks, but you all already know
how supremely brilliant he is...
