Charlton Heston
I always think of Charlton Heston as the star
of the big Hollywood historical drama. What great films he
made. Charlton Heston was the big action hero when the films
made told big stories of bravery and courage. El Cid is perhaps
my favourite Charlton Heston film, but then I remember Ben
Hur. My eyes were glued to the screen when I first saw these
films and I have watched them both numerous times since and
each time I am spellbound and wholly involved in the romance
and the drama...
Then came The Planet of the Apes and Charlton
Heston made SciFi history...
Unfortunately, Charlton Heston, in my opinion, wasn't such a great man as he was an actor. His support of the ownership of firearms shows him to be badly misguided in my opinion. I'm against hunting and idiots owning guns, and if stopping fools from legally owning a weapon means my own right to bear firearms is banned as well, that is how it should be. If idiots are not allowed to own guns there will be no need to arm myself to defend myself against them, will there?
It is simple: banning the ownership of weapons will save lives.
