Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt first came to recognition in the movie
Thelma & Louise made in 1991 and after his appearance
in the film the roles just got bigger and bigger. In a River
Runs Through It he was directed by Robert Redford, but it
wasn't until the 1994 movie Interview With a Vampire that
he played his first lead role alongside Tom Cruise. The film
was a box office success and Brad Pitt's career has gone from
strength to strength. Every film he makes now is a blockbuster
at the box offce, but among my favourites of the growing list
of Brad Pitt movies is Meet Joe Black. For me, he is brilliant
in that film and in Snatch he plays an Irish gypsey and his
characterisation is simply sublime. Other great films where
you can experience a great Brad Pitt performance are: The
Mexican, Troy, Spy Game and, of course his Rusty Ryan character
in the Ocean's trilogy.
But Brad Pitt is not afraid to take risks as
we see with his brilliant role in The Curious Case Of Benjamin
Button. For an actor, I suppose the role of Benjamin Button
provides a huge talent-stretching challenge, but, as ever
with Brad Pitt, he not only makes the role utterly his own,
but he stamps believability into the unbelievable. The Curious
Case Of Benjamin Button is an experience that leaves one thinking
and puzzling and thinking... Wonderful! It is why I love movies
and the success of that film rests firmly on Brad Pitt's performance
of Benjamin Button. The Brad Pitt is off to work with Quentin
Tarantino as Lt. Aldo Raine in Inglorious Basterds. Again,
Brad Pitt's performance draws the viewer into a life changing
experience. I often quote my own quote: "Changing perspective
will change your mind." Brad Pitt is an actor who is
constantly challenging and changing my perspective. As an
actor Brad is immense and I would go as far as to say he is,
in my opinion, the best actor I have ever seen, unfortunately
he is just too good looking and I hate him for that... ;-)

Angelina Jolie
The Hollywood Movie History
The greats of the silent movie period included
Rudolf Valentino, Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton,
Laurel & Hardy and a whole host of stars whose talents live
on in the many characters they portrayed. Jean Harlow is perhaps
the most successful of the stars who began their career in the
silent era and whose star continued in ascendancy into the talkies.
The western film genre has been the birth place for many great
film stars, not least of which is the Great John Wayne. Blockbuster
movies dominated the 80's and 90's with Silvester Stallone,
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis competing for the title
greatest action hero of them all... and then Matt Damon brought
Ludlum's character Jason Bourne to life all too vividly and
a whole new action hero was born.
And, although great women's roles are still all to rare, Vivien
Leigh's Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With The Wind, Marilyn Monroe's
Sugar Kane in Some Like It Hot, Grace Kelly as Tracy Lord in
High Society, Michelle Pfeifer in the Baker Boys and Julie Roberts
in Erin Brockovich are just a few great and memorable perfomances
I have experience by women in the movies...
